This might sound ridicoulous to the pro's in our clan, but I'd like to try this anyway, it'll be fun.

Perk 1

Bomb Squad
Does anybody actually use this one? Unless you're an idiot, you'd be thick enough to run into a room without seeing claymores at the edges of the door, and you can easily see C4's, just keep your eyes open

Pro's: Can see enemy explosives
Con's: You should be able to do this anyway

C4 x2
Brilliant for putting under cars, so if a few unfortunate enemies come along, then boom! Can be thrown into rooms from a small distance to blow up enemies.

Pro's: Good for blowing up multiple enemies, and planting near flags in domination/ bombs in S+A, so you don't actually have to see the C4 to know when to blow it up.
Con's: If not hidden well, can be shot by enemies.

Claymore x2
Very popular among Snipers. Alot of people will fall for them, but even if someone does shoot them, you will have precious time to get out of where you are. Works even in open areas. Plant where the enemy can easily see, so when they shoot it you can run for it!.

Pro's: Gives warning to oncoming enemies, no matter what.
Con's: None, if you're fast enough, you can kill the enemy who has just run over your claymore, he'd most likely be heavily damaged by it.

RPG x2
Good for using in enclosed spaces, but takes a bit to reload.
Pro's: Blow multiple enemies up at flags and S+A bombs.
Con's: The rockets, seem to veer off their course frequently, so they're not very accurate and most of the time do little or no damage from a distance

Special Grenades x3
Great when all enemies are in the same place, you can have stun or flash. If the whole team works together, then these are great.
Pro's: Irritates/distracts enemies.
Con's: None really, just use them properly, and not compulsively.

Frag x3
My favourite perk 1! Great in small areas, you will get loads of kills with this one.
Pro's: Kill loads of enemies quickly.
Con's: None. Just use them properly or you'll just waste them, randomly throwing them in the direction of the enemy actually does work most of the time.

Bandolier
What's the point in using this one? When have you ever ran out of ammo? Maybe when you've been a terribly lucky sniper hiding in the same spot for the whole game without being killed. You can just pick up some other guns when people die anyway.
Pro's: None. If you really want, you can rip through enemies 3 times instead of 2 with an RPD.
Con's: Waste of a perk, use a better one.

Perk 2

Juggernaut
Extra health, but's it's a cath-22 for noobs. You'll get killed a monstrous load anyway, but if you pick stopping power instead, you'll just get killed faster cos your aim sucks.
Pro's: Live a little longer, of if you're great aim, no need for stopping power.
Con's: Prolong the agony of your terrible playing.

Sleight Of Hand
If you're an RPD or one of those types of gun whores, then this is for you, but it's still not great.
Pro's: Reload faster when you're in a pickle, especially in a pistol/knifing battle.
Con's: pretty useless in a general, both when you're good or bad at the game. It only saves you a bit of time, most guns reload fast enough anyway.

Stopping Power
Easily the most frequently used perk by all players. Your bullets have more damage.
Pro's: It speaks for itself.
Con's: Watch out that you're not swapping power for accuracy.

UAV Jammer
Don't show up in enemy UAV's.
Pro's: If using Silenced weapons and dead silence aswell, you'll be a monster!
Con's: You'd better be good aim with your gun cos you won't have Stopping power like most of everyone else.

Sonic Boom
Explosives have more damage.
Pro's: Great for use with Frag x3/martyrdom etc, kill loads more enemies.
Con's: None, just don't swap power for accuracy.

Overkill
Mostly utterly useless. 2 primary weapons, wow! Wait a minute, what's that scattered all over the map? Oh wait, they're guns, primary guns that are better than what I have.
Pro's: None.
Con's: Everything about it. You'll pick up better guns all over the map anyway. And if you pick up a heavy weapon, you won't be slowed down by it. So don't use this perk, please!

Double Tap
Wanna join the terribly inaccurate club? Then use this perk. Your bullets spray twice as fast.
Pro's: Could be good if you have an RPD to weaken all the enemies while the rest of your team kills them.
Con's: Depending on what gun you use, you'll have to be incredibly accurate to get kills since you arn't using stopping power.

Perk 3

Extreme Conditioning
Run faster, for longer.
Pro's: Get to those sniper spots and other good spots you know faster.
Con's: Heavy guns will still way you down, you'll get be able to run slow for longer.

Steady Aim
If you're bad aim at your hip, then use this.
Pro's: Helps you to be more accurate.
Con's: Uses up precious perk space, you should try be accurate anyway.

Last Stand
If you don't get shot in the head, then you get to whip out your pistol for revenge before you die.
Pro's: Get a surprise kill before you die.
Con's: Most of the time, people will keep shooting at you anyway, and you'll look like an idiot turning around to face the sniper when he shot you from far off. Good look killing him!

Deep Impact
Bullets have the same damage going through surfaces.
Pro's: Sniper's ducked behind a wall? Have no fear, Deep Impact is here.
Con's: None really, it's pretty usefull.

Dead Silence
Your rustling in the leaves and climbing up steps and ladders won't be heard.
Pro's: Be a ghost, live a little like Solid Snake.
Con's: None really. If your aims to sneak up on your enemies, you'll be fine without stopping power.

Iron Lungs
Have longer held breath for snipers.
Pro's: Wait for enemies to pop out with more accurate shots for longer.
Con's: You'd be better off with Deep Impact. You should strive to be more accurate and quick with your rifle.

Eavesdrop
Does anybody use this? Apparently, you can listen to your nearby enemies talking.
Pro's: None.
Con's: All you'd hear is horrible feedback, and by the time you reach your enemies in S+A, they'd have already made their plans.

Martyrdom
Just died? Then drop a grenade
Pro's: Get some revenge tha can't be avoided, unlike Last Stand. Unsuspecting or trapped enemies will be caught in the blast. Expect to see a (+5) pop up when you're watching the kill-cam.
Con's: Has an enemy ever thrown the grenade away? No con's really.

And now I will put some perks together which compliment each other the best.

Demolition: Frag x3, Sonic Boom, Martyrdom.
Great for use in Shipment. A big gun like an RPD would be good, cos you wouldn't be running around much anyway.

Sneaker: Perk 1 whatever you want really, UAV Jammer, Dead Silence. Use silenced weapons too.

Sniper: Claymore x2, Stopping Power/Juggernaught if you're very accurate, Deep impact.

Assaulter: Frag x3, Stopping Power, Extreme Conditioning. Run around like crazy with these perks and an auto assault rifle or sub-machine gun and you'll be flying in no time!

Lol brilliant, a reliable perk encyclopedia! And with some pretty good reviews. However, I gotta give some credit to Sleight of Hand and Bandolier, I don't currently have them in any of my classes but they've helped me out before and maybe you went a little harsh on them lol. I sometimes consider Bandolier due to the fact I'm very frequently running out of ammo on my M4 but then I get killed lol. Anyways, still a great thread, kudos. :P

Ha ha, ok.
Bandolier and Sleight of Hand's cases appealed, awaiting new verdicts.

Bandolier's old verdict: Guilty, death sentence

Sleight of Hand's old verdict: Escaped from jail after it had been found guilty.

Bandolier's new case
With this perk you get around twice the ammo your guns would have anyway, probably best combined with Overkill. If you find yourself in an amazing kill streak on overkill and bandolier, your ammo would have run out quite fast anyway, and you would have picked up other guns from the ground.
And there's no end to the guns that you'll find on the ground. Bandolier only applies to the guns in your class, not ones you pick up. But it can be handy if it would be suicide to run out into an open space where there's a golden AK, but you'd die straight away before you got to shoot it. I'm gonna try it out, combined with Overkill and see what happens.

Sleight of Hand's new case
In a pistol/knife/running around in a small room with an enemy trying to kill them scenario (we've all been there) with sleight of hand, it would be faster to reload your primary weapon than to switch to your pistol, you'd just better be good aim, and watch out for their knife! In an RPD's case though, you'll probably die before you empty one magazine cos everyone will come looking for you, they don't wanna die again with 100 bullets spraying in their faces!

Some perks that I feel were getting a bad rep.

Bandoiler- is awsome I can't kill efficiently with out it. I don't have time to go looking for ammo of my gun on the battlefield. Especially good for automatic weapons (excluding LMG's) or just for someone who kills alot per death and doesn't want to scavenge for thier weapons ammo.

Bomb squad- you can't always see the bombs around the corner and it helps in claymore heavy game types like Search and Destroy where your deaths are more important than other game types.

Sleight of Hand- very useful with shotguns dont need the stopping power anyways they already do enough damage and you can reload lightning fast. Throw in bandoiler and you can be shotgunning for a good while.

Overkill- is useful if your good with the weapons you choose and really useful on hardcore gametypes since your weapons become more deadly on hardcore gametypes anyways so no need to worry about doing enough damage.
