I have a 360 already, ha ha, my friend bought me one yesterday! He got me the 60gig model, why would you need 120gigs anyway? I got Halo 3 and Lost Odyssey with it, and I have a lend of his COD4, lol. I'm wanna get the orange box and bioshock for it.

Don't worry, I'm not turning to the dark side!!

I don't know why my template didn't work there!

I didn't think you were 15! I feel so old now, ha ha.

Re: October Update

October 14, 2008 by floydaholic

Yeah

I had a good match there 2 days ago, where I got an 8-kill streak fast enough, and then the damn host ended the game. It was sabotage, and I defused the bomb, forgot I had the bomb for a bit then, ha ha!

The level was showdown, and I was a sniper! I missed this guy with a shot, so he tried to sneak behind me, but I was ready and knifed him, ha ha!

I'm only on 3, Level 39! It's gonna take forever to get to a gold cross, and then I'm gonna think "What could I have done that would have been more productive than this?" lol

Do Golden Weapons have more damage?

Re: Your Weapons of Mass Destruction

September 23, 2008 by floydaholic

I miss my Red Tiger M40A3! I'm on the 4th badge now at level 24. I use extreme conditioning on it now, so I can get to the sniper spots faster, works well in the Ambush map. There was this guy yesterday who kept going to the same place, I killed him about 5 times, lol.

I've tried the noob-tube a bit, just to see what it's like, it's hilarious! I might stop soon, but I wantto get my kill/death ratio up quicker. It's finally just past the 1.00 now!!

At the moment I'm using the M16 (no camo yet) How original.

Re: FEAR BULLETIN- MUST READ! -OLYMPICS, TACTICS LESSONS, AND MORE-

September 8, 2008 by floydaholic

What about vacant? I had some great idea's for that, but no one was listening! Well, just incase anyone reads this:

Vacant, Domination
(Whole team needs to follow this for it to work)
Capture A and B, and let enemy capture C. Don't enter the room where C is, but guard the exits from it, so the team will only spawn in that room. If you guard the exits well, they'll never get out of the room, and just keep spawning there. At least, I think that would work.

I think that maybe their mics could be turned on at specific times, just so we are clear with them on the tactics, but only when we say they can. That way, there is order, and we can know they understand.

I've also uploaded a map of overgrown with some typical sniping spots. We can have a sniper's lesson in the maps mentioned, I have some idea's for it.

Re: General/Specific Tactics

September 5, 2008 by floydaholic

Yes, and hopefully timezones won't be a problem. In domination, we could work on holding 2 flags really well, and then trapping the enemy at their flag, and just kill them loads!

We trap them by surrounding their flag/spawn point on the outskirts, such as in the Vacant map I posted. It would work really well for C, because there's only 2 ways out of there. And if the line is broken, someone could easily sort it out.

Re: Your Best Kills/Streaks

September 5, 2008 by floydaholic

They're deadly!

One of my best ones for accuracy was in Wetworks, when from one tower to the other, I shot 2 bullets, and got a headshot and killed the guy.

But here's the thing, I was using an M14 with no scope! Just the normal iron sights! And I also had a silencer on the weapon, which reduces the range of the gun! Ha ha, he's must have been amazed.

Re: ~The Commander's Gallery~

Here's one I tried to make. I'm not great with digi-editing software, I just used paint! I used my photo and just put some text and a sniper aim in. If you want, I could send you some of my photo's so you could do better with them.

Your Best Kills/Streaks

September 2, 2008 by floydaholic

This one's easy, just don't lie about it! And I have a few of our clan to back me up on these ones!

Yesterday in shipment I got an 11 kill streak in 40 seconds! I spawned into an enemy, so knifed him straight away, then used my RPG rockets and grenade, then obviously got kills with my gun. So I got to the chopper real fast! lol

And in Pipeline yesterday, I could have gotten a 20-kill streak, but we won the game! I didn't die throughout the entire match. I was in the sniper roof, sometimes I had to run around the outside not to get shot! I picked up some assault rifles on the way to go with my M40 Sniper Rifle.

Re: Golden Weapons

September 2, 2008 by floydaholic

Yes, you do. But you get to start all over again!

To get a golden weapon, you need to complete all the challenges in a gunset. For example, in LMG's, you'd need to get 150 kills and 100 headshots with all 3 weapons, but only one of them will be gold, not sure which one though. And you get a golden desert eagle at Level 55. Hope that helped! :)

Re: General/Specific Tactics

September 2, 2008 by floydaholic

I was thinking something along the lines of this, how does it look?

Re: General/Specific Tactics

August 31, 2008 by floydaholic

I think it would be good if in domination we asigned certain members of the team to uphold each flag, whether sniping or running about.

A good tip I'd give for domination is put some c4 at one of the flags (C). Then you hear the guy say, "losing C", then BOOM!! It's worked for me everytime, cos the guys going to capture it won't see it, and even if they do, won't think that the person who put it there can see it, but you don't need to see it to get some kills! Hiding it under or between things, such as flag C in crossfire, put it between those 3 sand-hay box thingy's, no one ever looks there!

http://callofduty4tips.co.uk/maps.html

Here's a cool site. Soon I'm gonna upload some maps with my fave parts of them! We can use the maps and put movements on them like they do in rugby when discussing their tactical movements. I'll have one for tomorrow!

Re: General/Specific Tactics

August 29, 2008 by floydaholic

Ha ha, yeah, they're great! Just a few more levels up and I'll have Dead Silence and Frag x3 unlocked.

Ghost would be a good name for the invisible silence class tactic, but it's already a name of one of the pre-set ones in the game, so I was looknig up some idea's:

A poltergeist is a ghost or spirit supposed to manifest its presence by noises, knockings, etc. For us, the noises would be our grenades and the faint patter of silenced bullets!

Another word related to ghost and poltergeist is bogart, which is to bully someone into giving something up, or to selfishly take or keep something.

So maybe poltergeist as the class name, I dunno. I'm pretty sure that nothing has ever been done like that before!

I really like the name of Fire in the Hole! It would be absolutely hilarious to see 18 of our grenades flying in the air, and then we all rip out an rpd, shooting at the same place, we'd be unstoppable! lol

Re: Perks Explained

August 29, 2008 by floydaholic

Ha ha, ok.
Bandolier and Sleight of Hand's cases appealed, awaiting new verdicts.

Bandolier's old verdict: Guilty, death sentence

Sleight of Hand's old verdict: Escaped from jail after it had been found guilty.

Bandolier's new case
With this perk you get around twice the ammo your guns would have anyway, probably best combined with Overkill. If you find yourself in an amazing kill streak on overkill and bandolier, your ammo would have run out quite fast anyway, and you would have picked up other guns from the ground.
And there's no end to the guns that you'll find on the ground. Bandolier only applies to the guns in your class, not ones you pick up. But it can be handy if it would be suicide to run out into an open space where there's a golden AK, but you'd die straight away before you got to shoot it. I'm gonna try it out, combined with Overkill and see what happens.

Sleight of Hand's new case
In a pistol/knife/running around in a small room with an enemy trying to kill them scenario (we've all been there) with sleight of hand, it would be faster to reload your primary weapon than to switch to your pistol, you'd just better be good aim, and watch out for their knife! In an RPD's case though, you'll probably die before you empty one magazine cos everyone will come looking for you, they don't wanna die again with 100 bullets spraying in their faces!

Re: Your Weapons of Mass Destruction

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

I'd use that for an Assaulter-type class too, it's a good combo! I've only ever had digital camo for one gun though, the M16, an accurate beast it is indeed!

Re: General/Specific Tactics

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

Thanks dude! We could all wait for the enemy to fall into our trap, Perk 1 would vary within in the team so frags, stuns, flashs, and claymore's would be at the ready. :)

Perks Explained

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

This might sound ridicoulous to the pro's in our clan, but I'd like to try this anyway, it'll be fun.

Perk 1

Bomb Squad
Does anybody actually use this one? Unless you're an idiot, you'd be thick enough to run into a room without seeing claymores at the edges of the door, and you can easily see C4's, just keep your eyes open

Pro's: Can see enemy explosives
Con's: You should be able to do this anyway

C4 x2
Brilliant for putting under cars, so if a few unfortunate enemies come along, then boom! Can be thrown into rooms from a small distance to blow up enemies.

Pro's: Good for blowing up multiple enemies, and planting near flags in domination/ bombs in S+A, so you don't actually have to see the C4 to know when to blow it up.
Con's: If not hidden well, can be shot by enemies.

Claymore x2
Very popular among Snipers. Alot of people will fall for them, but even if someone does shoot them, you will have precious time to get out of where you are. Works even in open areas. Plant where the enemy can easily see, so when they shoot it you can run for it!.

Pro's: Gives warning to oncoming enemies, no matter what.
Con's: None, if you're fast enough, you can kill the enemy who has just run over your claymore, he'd most likely be heavily damaged by it.

RPG x2
Good for using in enclosed spaces, but takes a bit to reload.
Pro's: Blow multiple enemies up at flags and S+A bombs.
Con's: The rockets, seem to veer off their course frequently, so they're not very accurate and most of the time do little or no damage from a distance

Special Grenades x3
Great when all enemies are in the same place, you can have stun or flash. If the whole team works together, then these are great.
Pro's: Irritates/distracts enemies.
Con's: None really, just use them properly, and not compulsively.

Frag x3
My favourite perk 1! Great in small areas, you will get loads of kills with this one.
Pro's: Kill loads of enemies quickly.
Con's: None. Just use them properly or you'll just waste them, randomly throwing them in the direction of the enemy actually does work most of the time.

Bandolier
What's the point in using this one? When have you ever ran out of ammo? Maybe when you've been a terribly lucky sniper hiding in the same spot for the whole game without being killed. You can just pick up some other guns when people die anyway.
Pro's: None. If you really want, you can rip through enemies 3 times instead of 2 with an RPD.
Con's: Waste of a perk, use a better one.

Perk 2

Juggernaut
Extra health, but's it's a cath-22 for noobs. You'll get killed a monstrous load anyway, but if you pick stopping power instead, you'll just get killed faster cos your aim sucks.
Pro's: Live a little longer, of if you're great aim, no need for stopping power.
Con's: Prolong the agony of your terrible playing.

Sleight Of Hand
If you're an RPD or one of those types of gun whores, then this is for you, but it's still not great.
Pro's: Reload faster when you're in a pickle, especially in a pistol/knifing battle.
Con's: pretty useless in a general, both when you're good or bad at the game. It only saves you a bit of time, most guns reload fast enough anyway.

Stopping Power
Easily the most frequently used perk by all players. Your bullets have more damage.
Pro's: It speaks for itself.
Con's: Watch out that you're not swapping power for accuracy.

UAV Jammer
Don't show up in enemy UAV's.
Pro's: If using Silenced weapons and dead silence aswell, you'll be a monster!
Con's: You'd better be good aim with your gun cos you won't have Stopping power like most of everyone else.

Sonic Boom
Explosives have more damage.
Pro's: Great for use with Frag x3/martyrdom etc, kill loads more enemies.
Con's: None, just don't swap power for accuracy.

Overkill
Mostly utterly useless. 2 primary weapons, wow! Wait a minute, what's that scattered all over the map? Oh wait, they're guns, primary guns that are better than what I have.
Pro's: None.
Con's: Everything about it. You'll pick up better guns all over the map anyway. And if you pick up a heavy weapon, you won't be slowed down by it. So don't use this perk, please!

Double Tap
Wanna join the terribly inaccurate club? Then use this perk. Your bullets spray twice as fast.
Pro's: Could be good if you have an RPD to weaken all the enemies while the rest of your team kills them.
Con's: Depending on what gun you use, you'll have to be incredibly accurate to get kills since you arn't using stopping power.

Perk 3

Extreme Conditioning
Run faster, for longer.
Pro's: Get to those sniper spots and other good spots you know faster.
Con's: Heavy guns will still way you down, you'll get be able to run slow for longer.

Steady Aim
If you're bad aim at your hip, then use this.
Pro's: Helps you to be more accurate.
Con's: Uses up precious perk space, you should try be accurate anyway.

Last Stand
If you don't get shot in the head, then you get to whip out your pistol for revenge before you die.
Pro's: Get a surprise kill before you die.
Con's: Most of the time, people will keep shooting at you anyway, and you'll look like an idiot turning around to face the sniper when he shot you from far off. Good look killing him!

Deep Impact
Bullets have the same damage going through surfaces.
Pro's: Sniper's ducked behind a wall? Have no fear, Deep Impact is here.
Con's: None really, it's pretty usefull.

Dead Silence
Your rustling in the leaves and climbing up steps and ladders won't be heard.
Pro's: Be a ghost, live a little like Solid Snake.
Con's: None really. If your aims to sneak up on your enemies, you'll be fine without stopping power.

Iron Lungs
Have longer held breath for snipers.
Pro's: Wait for enemies to pop out with more accurate shots for longer.
Con's: You'd be better off with Deep Impact. You should strive to be more accurate and quick with your rifle.

Eavesdrop
Does anybody use this? Apparently, you can listen to your nearby enemies talking.
Pro's: None.
Con's: All you'd hear is horrible feedback, and by the time you reach your enemies in S+A, they'd have already made their plans.

Martyrdom
Just died? Then drop a grenade
Pro's: Get some revenge tha can't be avoided, unlike Last Stand. Unsuspecting or trapped enemies will be caught in the blast. Expect to see a (+5) pop up when you're watching the kill-cam.
Con's: Has an enemy ever thrown the grenade away? No con's really.

And now I will put some perks together which compliment each other the best.

Demolition: Frag x3, Sonic Boom, Martyrdom.
Great for use in Shipment. A big gun like an RPD would be good, cos you wouldn't be running around much anyway.

Sneaker: Perk 1 whatever you want really, UAV Jammer, Dead Silence. Use silenced weapons too.

Sniper: Claymore x2, Stopping Power/Juggernaught if you're very accurate, Deep impact.

Assaulter: Frag x3, Stopping Power, Extreme Conditioning. Run around like crazy with these perks and an auto assault rifle or sub-machine gun and you'll be flying in no time!

And now, the verdict on all thse perks!

Perk 1
Bomb Squad - Guilty
C4 x2 - Innocent
Claymore x2 - Innocent
RPG x2 - Guilty
Special Grenades x3 - Suspended Sentence
Frag x3 - Innocent
Bandolier - Guilty, death sentence

Perk 2

Sleight Of Hand - Escaped from jail after it had been found guilty
Stopping Power - Innocent
UAV Jammer - Innocent
Sonic Boom - Innocent
Overkill - Guilty
Double Tap - On Bail

Perk 3
Extreme Conditioning - Innocent
Steady Aim - Suspended sentence
Last Stand - Guilty

Re: Golden Weapons

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

Slasher, you might as well go for level 10, lol.

I've only ever had the Gold desert Eagle, and I've picked up the Shotgun and AK47 before.

General/Specific Tactics

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

I think it'd be good if we worked on some tactics for certain game modes/maps to win even more than we already do.

An example would be S+A, get 2 people from the team to go for A, while the rest of the pretend to go for B.

Or when possible, everyone use these perks at the same time:

Silenced Weapons
Perk 1 - (Variable)
Perk 2 - UAV Jammer (All except one or two members)
Perk 3 - Dead Silence

I hope all that doesn't sound thick, and I also hope that you all have some suggestions too.

Re: Your Weapons of Mass Destruction

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

He he he............

The ultimate combo for HQ in the shipment level!

Perk 1 - Frag x3
Perk 2 - Sonic Boom
Perk 3 - Martyrdom

And then just throw in a RPD there for good measure.

What I'm using mainly at the moment is:

M40A3 Sniper Rifle (Red Tiger!)
M19 Pistol
Perk 1 - Claymore x2
Perk 2 - Stopping Power
Perk 3 - Deep Impact

Re: Suggestion To Expand Into GTA IV

August 28, 2008 by floydaholic

I havn't played GTAIV in a good while cos I'm back into COD4, and I also got Skate.

But I don't see the problem with it, as long as I wouldn't get kicked from the clan if I didn't play in GTAIV for ages, but played in COD4 more frequently.
